The electric vehicle thermal fuse switch (EV Pyro Switch) is a safety protection device specially used in electric vehicles. It is mainly used to quickly cut off the circuit when an abnormal situation occurs in the electric vehicle, such as battery overheating, short circuit, etc., resulting in excessive current, to prevent further damage to the electrical system, avoid serious accidents such as fire, and ensure the safety of the vehicle and passengers.

Its working principle is based on thermal effect and trigger mechanism. When an abnormally large current appears in the circuit, the current passes through the thermistor inside the thermal fuse switch, and the thermistor will quickly heat up due to the heat generated by the current. When the temperature reaches the rated operating temperature of the thermistor, the thermistor will undergo physical changes, triggering the mechanical structure connected to it to move, causing the switch contacts to quickly separate, thereby cutting off the circuit. This working mode can respond to abnormal changes in current in a very short time and play a role in rapid protection.

From the perspective of structural characteristics, the EV Pyro Switch is usually composed of a thermistor, a trigger mechanism, and a switch contact. The thermistor is a core component that is very sensitive to temperature changes and has good thermal stability and repeatability, which can ensure accurate operation under the same abnormal current conditions. The trigger mechanism is responsible for converting the temperature change of the thermistor into mechanical action to push the switch contacts to separate. The switch contacts are required to have good conductivity and arc resistance to ensure smooth transmission of current during normal operation, and to quickly extinguish the arc when the circuit is cut off to prevent contact erosion.

EV Pyro Switch has many performance advantages. Secondly, it has high action accuracy and can accurately trigger under set temperature and current conditions, with strong reliability.
