Absorbable tissue spacer is a special material product used in the medical field. It is mainly used to form a temporary physical separation between tissues or organs after surgery or trauma to promote tissue repair and healing. It is then gradually absorbed in the body without the need for secondary surgery to remove it.

Its material composition is usually a biodegradable polymer, such as polylactic acid (PLA), polyglycolic acid (PGA) and its copolymer (PLGA).
